Video for the 7-inch version
This is the third time the ‘European Man’ 7-inch version has been released, but this is the first digital release. It first came out in March 1980, with the catalogue number EDM 1 (below). ‘The Mechanical Bride’ (from the debut album Landscape) was on the B-side. The cover was designed by John Warwicker. There was also a 12-inch version.
The second (above) was in September 1981, in a different picture sleeve using John Warwicker’s logo and digital portrait on the front cover, a colourised version of a Paul Cox photo on the reverse and with the short sleevenote in five languages.
